About Southeast Veterinary Cardiology
-
Every echocardiogram is performed by a board-certified cardiologist who will directly examine your patient and provide a real-time answer to your cardiology-related concerns - no more waiting for days with telemedicine.
-
The echocardiogram is also performed using a GE Vivid iq - the newest generation of portable cardiac-specific ultrasound available for both humans and animals.
-
At the time of the consultation, we will discuss the results/interpretation in-person with the primary care veterinarian and help directly guide care of cardiac disease.
-
A full written report (with diagnosis, detailed disease information/client education, treatment, and follow-up information) is typically emailed prior to SEVC leaving the clinic - helping you most easily relay the results to your clients/pet as soon as possible
-
Please see the Consultation Information/FAQ page for more information as well.
**Please note, SEVC only performs echocardiograms (no abdominal or non-cardiac thoracic ultrasounds) and our practice is limited to solely to cardiology care.**

Brandon Pogue, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)
Dr. Pogue attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and received his DVM in 2008. He then went to Purdue University for a one year rotating small animal internship, followed by a three year cardiology residency at the University of Florida. In 2012, he became board-certified in cardiology through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He now lives in Alpharetta, GA with his wife Eryn (also a veterinarian), 2 children, and 2 cats.

His clinical interest is echocardiography, particularly of congenital disease and canine cardiomyopathies. From 2012-2019, he developed a thriving cardiology program at a large multi-specialty clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. With that experience and relationships with primary care veterinarians, Southeast Veterinary Cardiology's mission is to provide accurate, personal, and timely consultations to the referring veterinary community that we so gratefully serve. SEVC's aim is to also help support the local veterinary community in providing the highest level of care possible within their own clinics.
